About Me

Hello! I’m Lydia Fortune, an Industrial Design student at Walla Walla University. I am passionate about serving others and using design to improve, impact, and change the world around us. I believe that empathy is at the core of good design, and I strive to use my creative skills and intuition to present solutions that are built with user experience in mind.

I’ve had the opportunity to work with fabrics, metals, woods, glass, foam board, and more. As an industrial design student at Walla Walla University, we are taught many different creative programs such as Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. As well as CAD programs such as Rhino, Solidworks, Fusion360, and Keyshot. All of which aid in visualizing and communicating throughout the design process.

My passion for design fuels my problem solving abilities and guarantees attention to detail. In the future, I wish to use this passion that has followed me through life to advocate for inclusive design that results in a more functional and beautiful world for everyone.
